Chapter 10 in the Bedford Book of Genres, “Assembling A Multi-genre Project” provided me with the basic information on project 3. It gave me an insight as to what I would be working on and how to fulfill this project. Project 3 was based on a multi genre project. We has previously discussed what we would be doing for this project in class but this chapter went into great detail and cleared up and questions and confusion that I had. This chapter gave the steps to assembling a multi-genre project. First you have to introduce your project and provide context. Second, you have to sequence your genre pieces. Third, title your project that way it reflects the topic and your "take" of the topic. Fourth, create an author's or article's statement where your statement will discuss the research, explain the rhetorical choices, and evaluate your project overall. Fifth, package the project creatively. A standard research paper is generally quite simple, but a multi-genre project can be more imaginative.
